The Big Picture

Matt completed a Year in Industry at ASTeC (Accelerator Science and Technology Centre) which is a department of the STFC. He worked on two major projects in the year that he explains in the video below.

“When I first started my degree I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it. I just did it…because I was good at it at school and I enjoyed it.”

After carrying out his Year in Industry, Matt is considering doing a PhD which is not something he had envisioned himself doing prior to his placement.

“I do want to do physics as my career now.”
