Conference for Undergraduate Women and Non-binary Physicists

The University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University are the hosts for next year’s Conference for Undergraduate Women and Non-binary Physicists.

The goal of the conference is to encourage undergraduates to continue in physics by focusing on their development as a scientist and showcasing options for their educational and professional futures.

9th Annual Physics Industry Recruitment and Placement Fair

The 9th Annual Physics Industry Recruitment and Placement Fair was held in the Exhibition Centre at the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology at the University of York on Wednesday 19th October. It was a fantastic day and we were so pleased to welcome nearly 1000 physics students and over 40 employers to the event. Great to see industry back on the curriculum!

The Future of Physics Teaching Event

We’re looking forward for ‘The Future of Physics Teaching – New ways of teaching, assessing and embedding employability and equality’ event which is taking place on the 30th June at the Institute of Physics headquarters in London. The workshop is organised by SEPnet and WRIPA and is supported by the Institute of Physics.

The event will explore how physics teaching and assessment can change to equip all students with the skills for future labour markets.

WRIPA has put on trips, talks, fairs and many other events that have helped massively into me now being on the NHS STP for medical physics. I came to university not knowing what I wanted to do with my physics degree and now with the help of WRIPA I'm leaving university with my dream job.
