We also organise the largest physics-specific recruitment fair in the UK.

WRIPA Fair 2022

The 9th Annual Physics Industry Recruitment and Placement Fair was held in the Exhibition Centre at the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology at the University of York on Wednesday 19th October. It was a fantastic day and the event itself was the busiest we have ever seen! We were pleased to welcome over 1000 physics students and 41 employers. Great to see industry back on the curriculum!

The Future of Physics Teaching – 2021 Webinar Series

SEPnet and WRIPA, supported by the Institute of Physics, organised four 90 minute themed webinars for up to 20 Heads of School/Directors of Teaching & Learning, IOP representatives, employers and external experts.

The aim of the webinars was to identify challenges where best practice does not exist in order to take collaborative action or initiate research and focused on Teaching and Learning; Employability Skills; Assessment and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

WRIPA & SEPnet Workshop 2019

This workshop will engage with those who have embedded work-based learning into curriculum design, formed partnerships with regional employers and embedded entrepreneurialism into student skill training.
